MATARAM (May 7, 2021) - The Ministry of Social Affairs through the "Paramita" Center is holding an Affordable Bazaar in the month of Ramadan in order to support the Creation and Innovation of Beneficiaries in the center. This was also initiated to optimize people's purchasing power during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Head of the Center, I Ketut Supena, said that the Ramadan Affordable Bazaar was an effort to introduce the ATENSI Creation Center (SKA) "Paramita" to the public. SKA is a place to sell various children's work, such as dry cakes, mask connectors made of pearls and beads, 'Telasin Pa' salted eggs, and various water hyacinth preparations such as water hyacinth tissue boxes, water hyacinth clocks, shelves for storing plants, bags of pandan caterpillars," he said.

Apart from selling merchandise produced by Beneficiary children, "Paramita" Center collaborates with Perum BULOG West Nusa Tenggara Regional Office to provide logistical goods in the form of rice, sugar, cooking oil and all-purpose wheat flour.

Abel, Head of Sales, said this was good momentum. "This activity is very fitting with the Ramadan moment leading up to Eid. I really appreciate the initiation of this bazaar activity. The public's enthusiasm is quite high in buying basic necessities, so much so that our supplies are selling well," he said.

Previously, the "Paramita" Center in Mataram had coordinated with the Labuapi Sector Police regarding permits to hold bazaar activities inside the hall. The Labuapi Police gave permission to the center to hold activities while still prioritizing health protocols to anticipate the spread of COVID-19.

Next, the Labuapi Police COVID-19 monitoring and prevention team visited the Bazaar booth at "Paramita" Center. "The Center has implemented health protocols well and really strictly to ensure there are no crowds. This could be an example of similar implementation in other places," said Imran, a member of the police.

Siti, one of the bazaar visitors, said she was happy with the bazaar at the "Paramita" Center. "Not only that the event is close to my house, but the goods are also cheap and suits my needs," she said.

This affordable Ramadhan bazaar is held for 3 (three) days starting Friday (7/05), Monday (10/05) and Tuesday (11/05) starting at 09.00 WITA until 15.00 WITA.
