The Role of Social Rehabilitation Centers / Workshop as Center for Development of Service Models
BEKASI (October 29, 2019) - Director General of Social Rehabilitation of the Indonesian Ministry of Social Affairs Edi Suharto stated that one of the functions of the Social Rehabilitation Center is as a factory outlet, a center for developing service models. This means we are developing a social rehabilitation service model, no longer implementing basic social rehabilitation.
"Each region has one best practice that can represent social rehabilitation services," said Edi Suharto in his presentation at the Long Term Care Workshop organized by the Directorate of Elderly Social Rehabilitation in Bekasi. Edi Suharto also mentioned that it was agreed that social rehabilitation in all the clusters had the same menu, namely BanTu, therapy, social care, and family support.
"In the end the social rehabilitation activities were carried out to return PPKS to the community, making it independent and dignified," concluded Edi. Edi requested that in the future modules be made for technical implementation of elderly social rehabilitation.
The activity, which was held on October 29-November 1, 2019, aims to improve coordination between the Directorate of Elderly Social Rehabilitation (RSLU) and UPT (Balai / Loka) in planning for the upcoming 2020 LU Progress. As many as 44 participants attended this activity, consisting of structural and functional officials at the Directorate of RSLU and LU Social Rehabilitation Center / Workshop.
