To Improve the Economy of Residents, BLBI "Abiyoso" Holds Ramadan Bazaar
CIMAHI (10 May 2021) - The Ministry of Social
Affairs through the Indonesian Braille Literacy Center (BLBI)
"Abiyoso" held an activity entitled "Abiyoso BLBI Ramadan
Bazaar" which took place 10-11 May 2021 to help drive the economy of the
surrounding community which was sluggish.
The period of the
Covid-19 pandemic has shaken the stability of the national economy. It takes
creativity from all affected parties to survive amid the current
economic shocks. Even though the challenges are getting tougher, productivity
needs to be improved to ensure prosperity in difficult times.
One of the problems faced
by residents during this pandemic is the scarcity of daily necessities that can
be reached both in terms of price and distance. There are still many residents
who have not been able to or are not used to shopping online, which makes it
difficult for them to meet their daily needs.
"We are carrying out
this activity to help community members meet the needs ahead of Eid which may
be somewhat difficult to obtain due to the ongoing pandemic," said Head of
BLBI "Abiyoso" Isep Sepriyan when officially opening the activity.
In line with that, the
Leuwigajah Village, represented by Gungun this time, expressed their deepest
gratitude to BLBI "Abiyoso" for holding this cheap bazaar. "Thanks
to BLBI" Abiyoso "and all parties involved in this activity for
helping residents achieve prosperity," said Gungun.
Gungun who is also the
Chairperson of the Covid-19 Task Force of Leuwigajah Village also appealed to
all parties to continue to implement health protocols. "Do not let us
experience an incident like in India. If it happens like that, where are we
going? Cimahi is already an orange zone, so is Leuwigajah, so please everyone
to keep the program," explained Gungun.
25 people participated in this Ramadan bazaar activity. They consist of various
communities, government agencies, and private companies. The products offered
are also very diverse. Some offer culinary delights, household furniture,
accessories, beauty tools, clothing, ornamental plants, and much more.
