Treatment for Safa After Brain Tumor Surgery at Paramita Center
WEST LOMBOK (June 21, 2022) – The Ministry of Social Affairs through the
Paramita Mataram Center provides treatment for a 12-year-old girl after
undergoing surgery for suctioning fluid in the brain. This little girl from
Central Lombok Regency underwent the second surgery in her life after being
diagnosed with a brain tumor by the doctor.
Safa, the little girl's nickname, was first
discovered when she complained of stomach pain. The doctor's initial examination
stated that she had gastric acid so she had to be rushed to the Praya Hospital
for further treatment. She did not stop there, she felt complaints after
complaints ranging from blurred vision to fever and stiffness in the neck.
As a result of the pain experienced by Safa, the
doctor suggested a CT Scan and the doctor stated that there was fluid in Safa's
brain, and in that fluid, there was a tumor.
The initial surgery to suction the fluid in Safa's
brain was carried out on May 27, 2022. While waiting for the next surgery, Safa
was undergoing outpatient treatment. While undergoing the treatment, Safa lived
and received routine care from the doctors and nurses of Sentra Paramita for 13
days on June 20, 2022, Safa had undergone a second surgery and currently, Safa's condition is still being observed in the ICU, because postsurgery Safa still
fainted. Currently, on June 21, 2022, Safa's condition has begun to change,
Safa's body has started to react (hands and legs are starting to move).
Ketut Supena the Head of the Center said,
"The child (Safa) is being treated at Paramita to facilitate outpatient
access to the Regional General Hospital of West Nusa Tenggara Province"
