SOUTH TANGERANG (July 1, 2022) - MoSA through Mulya Jaya Center Jakarta is responsive to a viral report on social media regarding the disabled child Pika Sasikirana (16 years old) who has cerebral palsy. This news went viral when Pika and her parents Sunanta and Santi Warastuti took part in Car Free Day (CFD) in Jakarta carrying a banner that read "PLEASE, MY DAUGHTER NEEDS MEDICAL MARIJUANA".

The news was heard by Mulya Jaya Center and sent Social Work Team to be followed up immediately. When met at her residence, Pika and her parents occupied a rented house with the address at Jalan Kepodang 1, Bintaro Sector 2, South Tangerang. The purpose of the arrival of Mulya Jaya Center team was to conduct an assessment related to the cerebral palsy that Pika had suffered for years.

The results of this assessment found the cause of the illness when Pika was 6 (six) years old at that time experiencing vomiting and weakness in the body and was immediately taken to see a doctor. The results of an examination by a doctor showed that Pika was bitten by a Culex mosquito which can trigger Japanese encephalitis (JE) brain inflammation.

Currently, Pika is still undergoing physiotherapy, occupational therapy, and speech therapy, which she does 2 times a week and is supervised by her parents in the hope that her child can be handled well.

As a form of government concern, MoSA through Mulya Jaya Center Jakarta provides Rehabilitation Assistance (ATENSI) to fulfill a decent life in the form of liquid virgin coconut oil (VCO), Etawa goat's milk, lemongrass oil, honey, Gotu kola capsules, dragon fruit, bananas, and avocado as well as groceries for their daily needs.
