BANDUNG (July 8, 2021) - The Ministry of Social Affairs through Wyata Guna Center Bandung was part of the Disability Vaccination Launching which was held at Wyata Guna Center Bandung. This event is a collaboration between Wyata Guna Center Bandung and the Provincial Government (Pemprov) of West Java (Jabar).

West Java Governor Ridwan Kamil was also present to directly monitor the implementation of the COVID-19 vaccination for people with disabilities. This activity is supported by various parties including the Health Office, Social Office, West Java Diskominfo, West Java Mobile, and Grab. Not to be left behind, the ranks of the Cicendo District Muspika also attended this disability vaccination activity.

This event is the initial disability vaccination movement which will then be held in each district/city through health centers, hospitals, and community health centers in each region. There were 67 people with disabilities who attended as vaccination participants, while there were 64 companions.

Head of Wyata Guna Center Bandung, Sudarsono, who was present at this event, said that vaccination as an alternative to reduce the COVID-19 problem has become the government's direction and policy, so it must be supported.

"For Wyata Guna Center, this is a very important moment because the wait for people with disabilities to get the vaccine can be fulfilled," said Sudarsono. He also invited all people with disabilities to be vaccinated.

Deputy Mayor of Bandung Yana Mulyana believes that all parties must remain optimistic, and continue to be creative and innovative, especially for all disabilities. Yana Mulyana also expressed her gratitude to all parties who have helped speed up the disability vaccination process in Bandung City. It is hoped that after being vaccinated, Health Immunity will be formed in Bandung City and we hope that the COVID-19 pandemic will end soon.

On his occasion, the West Java Provincial Social Office, Dodo Suhendar, said that in West Java there are around 89,000 people targeted for disability vaccines. This step is a kick-off and outreach for other disabled colleagues.

"Thank you to all parties starting from Wyata Guna Center Bandung as the disability icon, the Health Office as the implementer, the Social Office as part of the data source system for people with disabilities as well as the local government, this is an effective form of collaboration to speed up the implementation of vaccine activities," said Dodo Suhendar.

One of the vaccine participants, Astrilita A. Mogea, said that this vaccination activity was very beneficial for her. His concerns and fears about vaccination disappeared because the government was holding it in collaboration with the disability community, where he was part of the FKKADD (Community Forum for Families of Children with Disabilities). He hopes that the second vaccination can be carried out better and more cheerfully.

Towards Healthy Disabilities, Towards a Healthy Indonesia, it feels appropriate to be included in this activity.
