JAKARTA (May 8, 2023) – The Ministry of Social Affairs continues to accelerate assistance for Social Rehabilitation Assistance (ATENSI) for persons with disabilities. One of them is in Kampar Regency 64 beneficiaries and in Kuantan Singingi (Kuansing) Regency 43 beneficiaries.
ATENSI assistance for persons with disabilities is provided in the form of fulfillment for a decent life, such as tools and entrepreneurial assistance with a total assistance value of IDR178,531,500
Through the Sentra Handayani Technical Implementation Unit (UPT) in Jakarta, the Ministry of Social Affairs pays attention to persons with disabilities in order to increase their social role in society. The Handayani Center Team through the Disability Working Group divided the distribution of ATENSI assistance in each Regency through coordination with the Social Service and related social pillars in the field.
"In accordance with the directives of the Minister of Social Affairs to the team so that the distribution of ATENSI assistance for persons with disabilities based on family and community can be responded to quickly and accurately," said Meerada Saryati, representing the Acting Head of Administration at Handayani Center, Friday (5/5/2023).
The distribution of ATENSI assistance in Kampar Regency was carried out in the Social Service Hall and was attended by the Head of the Social Service, Zamzami Hasan, and was given directly by the Coordinator of the Working Group for Disabilities Sentra Handayani, Dasniwati. Also received four units of Hearing Aids (ABD), two units of tripods, two units of Adaptive Guiding Sticks (TPA), and 12 entrepreneurship assistance.
"Before being given ATENSI assistance, the Handayani Center Team had assessed the PPKS data proposed by the Social Service for 42 people, LKS Sakinah 21 people, and 1 person from the results of the case response," said Meerada Saryati.
The distribution of ATENSI in Kuansing District was carried out at the Hall of the Social Office and attended by the Head of the Social Protection and Security and Social Rehabilitation Division, Irhandi. In addition, assistive devices such as seven wheelchairs, one crutch, one cane, and two landfills were also provided.
In addition, the Handayani Sentra Team in Kuantan Singingi Regency collaborated with the Budi Perkasa Sentra in Palembang to measure prosthetic limbs for seven people with disabilities.
The series of activities of the Handayani Center in Kuansing Regency ended with the distribution of special assistance to persons with disabilities from case responses in the form of House Renovation assistance in collaboration with BAZNAS Kuansing Regency and the Pekanbaru Abiseka Center.
