15 Years Helpless at Home, Ministry of Social Affairs Facilitates to Hospital Treatment

SUKABUMI (February 1, 2023) - The Ministry of Social Affairs through the Phalamartha Center Sukabumi facilitated the treatment of a teenager with the initials "SM" (19 years) from Cisarua Village, Sukaraja District, Sukabumi Regency to receive medical treatment at the hospital on Monday 01/30/2023.

 

As previously reported, SM (19 years) a teenager has experienced physical disabilities since he was 4 years old due to a fall. SM can only lie in bed and needs help from other people for his daily activities.

 

Following up on the directives of the Minister of Social Affairs, Phalamartha Center Team moved quickly to deploy a team to SM's house to conduct an assessment and provide the necessary assistance.

 

"Currently, the team has brought and accompanied "SM" to Hasan Sadikin Hospital in Bandung to receive medical treatment," said Cup Santo, Head of Phalamartha Center.

 

After the assessment was carried out, we facilitated the creation/recording of National Identity Cards (KTP) and the preparation of BPJS. We also provide Adaptive Wheelchairs for "SM" and Decent Living Fulfillment support, such as groceries, nutrition, personal hygiene kits, bedding, clothing, and school supplies for SM's two younger siblings who are studying in high school.

 

"For family empowerment, we provide entrepreneurial assistance selling cold drinks and additional capital for basic food stalls," he added.

 

Phalamartha Center together with Social Office and other related agencies are committed to continuing to assist SM and their families to get the best treatment.
