JAKARTA (November 10, 2024) – The 2024 National Heroes' Day Ceremony at the Kalibata Main National Heroes' Cemetery (TMPNU), November 10, 2024, took place solemnly. The Vice President of the Republic of Indonesia Gibran Rakabuming Raka was appointed as the ceremony inspector. Meanwhile, acting as the Ceremonial Officer this time was Brigadier General TNI Edi Saputra, S.I.P., M.Han., Chief of Staff of Kogartap I/Jakarta. Meanwhile, the Commander of the ceremony was Colonel Pnb Lucky Indrawan, S.A.P., Head of the Suryadarma Air Force Base Operations Service.

After the ceremony was held, Minister of Social Affairs Saifullah Yusuf (Gus Ipul) accompanied the Vice President on a pilgrimage and laid flowers at the heroes' graves. Some of the graves were the graves of the revolution heroes, Adam Malik, Umar Wirahadikusumah, R. Sudharmono, BJ Habibie, and many more.

The Minister of Social Affairs stated the ceremony was carried out simultaneously in government agencies at the central, regional, and foreign attaché levels.

The 2024 Heroes' Day commemoration has the theme "Follow Your Heroes, Love Your Country", which reflects a strong national spirit, a call to unite, maintain national identity, and strengthen love for the homeland. In addition, this phrase inspires exemplary action that invites every person to become a hero in their respective environments by contributing positively and actively to community life.

Prof. Dr. Meutia Hatta, daughter of Former Vice President of the Republic of Indonesia Muhammad Hatta and Chairperson of the Indonesian National Heroes' Family Association, added that the values ​​of heroism must continue and be disseminated so that they can be understood by all future generations of the nation.
