JAKARTA (November 6, 2024) - In order to commemorate the 2024 Heroes' Day with the theme "Follow Your Heroes, Love Your Country", the Ministry of Social Affairs provided assistance to the families of heroes, warakawuri (widows of Indonesia Armed Forces), and widows of independence pioneers at the National Heroes' Cemetery (TMPNU) Convention Building, Jakarta, on Wednesday morning (6/11/2024). The assistance symbolically provided by the Minister of Social Affairs Saifullah Yusuf (Gus Ipul) is a form of respect and appreciation for the services of the nation's heroes.

Minister of Social Affairs stated that the struggle of heroes has three main values ​​that need to be emulated, namely patience, prioritizing the interests of the nation, and thinking about the future of the nation and the afterlife. The assistance provided includes 34 wheelchairs, 23 hearing aids, 15 three-legged canes, 3 one-legged canes, and several walkers.

The event was attended by a number of figures, including the Chairperson of Heroes' Day Meutia Hatta and Deputy Chairperson Agustanz Sjahroezah, as well as representatives from the Indonesian National Heroes Family Association (IKPNI) and the management of the Indonesian Independence Pioneers Association. At the end of the event, Gus Ipul had the opportunity to have a dialogue with the aid recipients and watch entertainment from the beneficiaries with visual sensory disabilities from the Pangudi Luhur Integrated Center, Bekasi.
