Ahead of the Phase III PKH Social Assistance Disbursement, the Ministry of Social Affairs Improve in Preparing Data
WONOGIRI
(19 June 2021) – A member of
Commission VIII of the House of Representatives (DPR RI), Endang Maria Astuti,
together with the Director General of Social Protection and Security of the
Ministry of Social Affairs, Pepen Nazaruddin, made a Working Visit to Wonogiri
Regency, Central Java Province, in the context of Program Review and Evaluation
Activities for the Implementation of Social Welfare in the Field of Social
Protection and Security in Wonogiri Regency.
According to Endang, based on the results of
his team's monitoring, the data on recipients of social assistance in Wonogiri
Regency is quite good. He also stated that the DPR will always support it, and
it is proven from year to year that we are diligent in evaluating so that later
the Ministry of Social Affairs’ programs, especially the social assistance
program, continue to run well, accompanied by improvements.
"We don't expect that when the DPR is
silent, the Ministry of Social Affairs will find things that become stumbling
blocks. Therefore, this is part of our evaluation so that the performance of
the Ministry of Social Affairs will be better," he said.
Meanwhile, the Director General of Social Protection
and Security, Pepen Nazaruddin, explained that his visit to Wonogiri was to
assist members of Commission VIII DPR RI to monitor and supervise the Ministry
of Social Affairs’ programs, particularly the Family Hope Program (PKH), in
Wonogiri.
"Earlier we had a meeting with the
Regional Government and PKH HR. Several things need to be considered, among
others, we are currently working hand in hand to correct the data because this
must start from the bottom up to the center so that in the distribution of
social assistance phase III really works. It's really clear and clean which has
an impact on the accuracy of targets and the success of PKH," said Pepen.
The Regent of Wonogiri, Joko Sutopo, was proud
of the PKH launched by the central government to the regions, "What makes
the beneficiary families (KPM) in Wonogiri Regency, some have been able to
develop themselves to be independent with various kinds of businesses,"
said the Regent in a written remark read by the Assistant Regional I for
Government and People's Welfare, Teguh Setiyo.
