Alumni of BRSPDSF "Prof. Dr. Soeharso" Excels in the World of Work and Performance

JAKARTA (January 24st  2020) – BBRSPDF (Social Rehabilitation Center For Person with Physical Disabilities) "Prof. Dr. Soeharso" Surakarta, edifying itself as the flagship center of the Ministry of Social Affairs.

Minister Of Social Affairs Juliari P Batubara assessed that the management of this Hall is in line with President Joko Widodo's vision that will shape human resources.superiority."I promise to expand this hall in the future," said Minister Of Social Affairs Juliari.

Referring to the existing record, PM (the beneficiaries) who received coaching in this Hall, have already achieved a long achievement.

In the world of work sector, alumni of this hall are in high demand of various companies."In the period 2015-2019, a total of 155 alumni were accepted to work in 35 companies spread across Central Java and DIY Yogyakarta," said Director General of Social Empowerment Edi Suharto in Jakarta.

Later in the field of sports, alumni from this hall were also able to provide a meaningful role at the Asian Para Games 2018 event in Jakarta.A total of 51 athletes spread across 13 sports are alumni of BBRSPDF "Prof. Dr. Soeharso". This figure refers to the data of the central manager and sports coach of the NPCI (National Paralympic Comitte Indonesia) Center.

From the above achievement defects, BBRSPDF "Prof. Dr. Soeharso" is able to transform PPKS (Social Welfare Service Recipients) not only able to socialize, interact, and show its role in society, but also able to speak a lot in the field of sports and the world of work.

Throughout 2019 BBRSPDF "Prof. Dr. Soeharso" has performed services to 920 PPKS Physical Disabilities with social rehabilitation services in accordance with the progress of 5.0 New Platform including physical therapy, spiritual mental therapy, psychosocial therapy, livelihood therapy, cash transfer, mobility assistance, and family support.To support the service, cooperation has been done with local governments and in 2017 cooperation with the South Korean government.

As the Technical Implementation unit of the Ministry of Social Affairs directly responsible to the Directorate General of Social Rehabilitation, BBRSPDF "Prof. Dr. Soeharso" has the basic duties and functions of conducting advanced social rehabilitation that enhances the capabilities and social responsibilities for PPKS of physical disabilities with the reach of regions throughout Indonesia.

During his visit to this hall, Thursday (01/23/2020), Minister of Social Affairs Juliari had the opportunity to interact with PPKS and see firsthand the facilities and services in BBRSPDF "Prof. Dr. Soeharso" is even passionate about playing table tennis with athletes who are alumni of BBRSPDF "Prof. Dr. Soeharso".

"You should not be discouraged, should not despair because it is a form of thanks to parents who raise all of you.I promise that the service in this hall will be improved in accordance with president Jokowi's vision of establishing superior SDM (Human Resource) for onward Indonesia," Juliari said.
