Anticipating Aftershocks in Banten, Ministry of Social Affairs Prepares Logistics and Sets Up Tents
Responding to an earthquake with a magnitude of 6.6 that rocked Banten and its surroundings on Friday (14/1) yesterday, the Indonesian Ministry of Social Affairs immediately dispatched a team to handle natural disasters.
On Saturday (15/1) afternoon, the Director General of Social Protection and Security, Pepen Nazaruddin, visited the earthquake-affected location in Munjul District, Pandeglang Regency.
"We have seen that there are several houses that are in a badly damaged condition that cannot be lived in anymore, others also have minor damage. We have handed over some assistance, including tents, blankets, mattresses, fast food and several other aids," he continued.
Based on data from the PSKBA Directorate, the Ministry of Social Affairs has distributed assistance in the form of 1,200 packages of ready-to-eat food, 100 boxes of bottled drinking water, 200 packets of blankets, 50 family tents, 300 rolls of tents, 200 mattresses, 2 family multipurpose tents, 200 mattresses. sheets, 200 packs of baby diapers, 300 packs of sanitary napkins and 60 packs of Kidsware.
