JAKARTA (October 29, 2019) - Eight Social Welfare Service Recipient (PPKS) of BRSKPN “Bambu Apus” Jakarta took an HIV test accompanied by the Head of Social Rehabilitation Services, Namin Sunarto, along with medical teams, social workers, counselors, and assistants. The test conducted at the Service House is in collaboration with the Pramita Clinical Laboratory in Jakarta.

An HIV test is a screening procedure performed to detect HIV infection in PPH. This is necessary for Drug Abuse Victims because one of the risk factors for a person to contract HIV is the use of narcotics, psychotropic substances and other illegal drugs.

The results of the examination are not only used as a reference for the medical history of each PPKS, but can also be used as a health psychoeducation material that is useful for PPKS.
