BRSPDM "Dharma Guna" Promotes Progress of PD NP and RSBK Supporting Technical Guidance

OGAN ILIR (September 25, 2019) - Social Rehabilitation Center for People with Mental Disability (BRSPDM) "Dharma Guna" Bengkulu again carried out the socialization activities of the Social Platform Program for Persons with Disabilities New Platform (PD NP Progress) and Technical Guidance for Family-Based Social Rehabilitation Assistance Cadres.

This activity was carried out in Tanjung Batu and Payaraman Districts for five days, September 24-28, 2019. Socialization and Collaboration Activities with the Ogan Komering Ilir Regency Social Service. This activity was attended by 65 cadres of Family-Based Social Rehabilitation (RSBK) consisting of Disabled Supporters, Social Welfare Workers with Disabilities and families with mental disabilities, Puskesmas elements, as well as local sub-districts and villages.

In his remarks, the Head of BRSPDM "Dharma Guna" Bengkulu, Dardi explained that this activity aims to socialize the Social Rehabilitation Program for Persons with Disabilities and the implementation of Family-Based Social Rehabilitation.

Meanwhile, Irawan Sulaiman as Head of the Ogan Ilir Regency Social Service said that such activities were eagerly awaited by the community.

"Indeed, only this year the community received a program that directly touched people with mental disabilities and their families so that they were very enthusiastic when the activity was held," Irawan said.

Irawan also expressed his gratitude for the implementation of the PD New Platform Progress Socialization and RSBK implementation.

"We hope that in the future the activities that have been carried out can be strengthened with cooperation in the handling of people with mental disabilities, especially in Ogan Ilir Regency and South Sumatra Province," Irawan explained.

The target of the implementation of the RSBK in Ogan Ilir Regency is 40 people with mental disabilities who must be immediately accompanied and given reinforcement to their families and ended with the provision of social assistance for independence.
