“Aid for light medicines, home schooling fees, and credit for online learning. There is the female necessity too because she's a grown-up girl," said Mumun.
Mumun, who has two children with disabilities, has been a recipient of PKH assistance since 2016. "I just thought that if I wasn't around, how will my child be," she said.
During this COVID-19 pandemic, PKH cash assistance is considered very useful in helping the family's economy and to meet various other needs.
"Even though I am her stepmother, I am very grateful there is assistance like this, especially for children who need special attention. I feel that in this economic condition, it is very helpful," she said while shedding tears.
Furthermore, Mumun said that having a child with a disability requires different treatment and costs a lot of money.
"Honestly, the needs are different, the treatment is also different. We are required to have a lot of costs. With conditions like this, let alone living with a lot of money, it's hard to live a normal life,” she said while wiping away tears.
Alhamdulillah, she continued, with the existence of PKH, the (living burden) are lightened, especially the special medicines needed can be fulfilled so that children are not interrupted from taking medicine.
