Commemorating HKSN 2022, Meohai Center Kendari Distributes ATENSI Aid in Bali

KARANGASEM (DECEMBER 20, 2022) - To celebrate National Social Solidarity Day (HKSN) which is celebrated every December 20, Meohai Center Kendari distributed ATENSI aid to the elderly and disabled in Karang Asem Regency, Bali Province.

 

This activity was part of a series of events organized by the Ministry of Social Affairs, in which the Province of Bali was chosen as the location for implementing HKSN 20222 and was attended by all Centers/Integrated Centers spread across every Regency/City on the Island of the Gods.

 

Bayu Bagaskoro, the Social Worker who was contacted at the location said that in this year's HKSN, Meohai Center Kendari distributed assistance worth a total of IDR 150,000,000 which was given to 70 beneficiaries consisting of 62 elderly and 8 persons with disabilities. The assistance provided includes 62 basic needs fulfillment packages, 13 accessibility tools, and 2 entrepreneurship assistance.

 

The same thing was conveyed by the Head of Meohai Center Kendari, Budi Sucahyono, who was met after the event, and explained that the assistance that had been distributed came from the Social Rehabilitation Assistance (ATENSI) program.

 

"This assistance is provided based on the results of an integrated assessment that has gone through a verification and validation process as well as a needs assessment that has been carried out by Social Workers from Meohai Center so that each recipient's assistance varies according to their needs," he added.

 

One of the beneficiaries, Muniah (72 years) expressed his gratitude for the assistance she received in the form of tools and materials for entrepreneurship selling fried foods. She hopes that in the future her business which she has been in for 10 years can develop and be able to meet her daily needs with her 2 children.

 

"For the last 6 months, I have been a breadwinner after my husband died. I am very grateful to the Ministry of Social Affairs for the assistance I received," she concluded

 

In implementing this year's HKSN, the Ministry of Social Affairs carries the theme Rising Together to Build the Nation. This is aimed at pushing each other in a better direction, to realize Indonesia's dream of a faster recovery.
