CIMAHI (October 6, 2022) — As part of the commemoration of World Mental Health Day (WMH) 2022, "Abiyoso" Center held a vaccination and distribution of social rehabilitation assistance (ATENSI) services to 25 Persons With Mental Problems (ODMK). A total of 25 ODMK come from Cimahi and Bandung Regencies, which are two of the seven working areas of "Abiyoso" Center. The vaccination and distribution of ATENSI took place in "Abiyoso" Center hall and was attended by representatives from the West Java Provincial Social Office, Cimahi City Social Office, Cimahi City Health Office, Kimia Farma Cihanjuang, As Sabur Foundation, and Jabez Generation.

This activity was opened by the Head of the Administrative Subdivision for the "Abiyoso" Center, Heri Kusuma Wardana, on behalf of the Head of "Abiyoso" Center, Agung Hendrawan. In his direction, Heri thanked all parties, the government, the private sector, and the general public, who had collaborated to make this activity successful.

"I appreciate all parties who have collaborated in providing services to our brothers and sisters who have not had the third vaccine," said Heri on Thursday, October 6, 2022. "Because the problem of the pandemic is not only the task of the health sector but also cross-sectoral that needs attention from all parties," he continued.

In addition to vaccinations and handing over of aid, the WMH commemoration series this time was also filled with online participation in the Social Campaign for World Mental Health Day within MoSA, which was centered at Aneka Bhakti II Building Bekasi. The activity was led directly by the Minister of Social Affairs, Tri Rismaharini.

In her direction, Risma said that basically, ODMK is a human being whose needs must be considered. "Let's take care of them together. Because basically, they are also human, just like us. If someone is unable to get treatment, please come to the government, later we will help to register the BPJS Card, "said Risma.

Risma also said that mental health problems are the same as other health problems, such as diabetes, heart disease, and so on. “I've consulted with experts on how to handle this. It turns out to be the same, if they take medicine regularly, they can recover,” he continued.

Risma invites all parties to always respect anyone. “We have to teach anyone that it's okay to not hurt another human being, especially if he or she is sick. It was said about mental health, but if they are sick, then we get rid of them instead of embracing them, it's difficult, "explained Risma.

Another thing that has been highlighted by the Minister this time is that job vacancies often include physical and mental health requirements in labor recruitment procedures. "Later we will discuss this again in more detail with the experts. I said, yes, that's right, there are requirements for physical and spiritual health, but what kind of recommendations should we issue later, we will discuss it again so that we can fulfill human rights, "added Risma.

The World Health Organization is commemorated every 10 October. This year's WMH commemoration series has begun with the release of stocks and the reunification of Persons with Mental Disabilities in several places. "Abiyoso" center also evacuated one of them with the initials AS on Tuesday, October 4, 2022, and the reunification of the initials D on the same day.
