Commission of the House Supports the Distribution of Assistance for Residents of South Sumatra

Palembang (14 July 2023) - The Ministry of Social Affairs accompanied Commission VIII of the House to carry out a Recess Work Visit during Session V of the 2022-2023 Session Year to South Sumatra Province.  Chairman of Commission VIII of the House, TB Ace Hasan Syadzily, and his entourage distributed Social Rehabilitation Assistance (ATENSI) aid.

The handover of this aid was distributed in South Sumatra Province, which is located at Budi Perkasa Center Palembang. This assistance will be provided to the Social Welfare Service for Needy Persons (PPKS), which consists of Children, Persons with Disabilities, the Elderly, and Vulnerable Groups who have been recorded in the Integrated Social Welfare Data (DTKS).

The Ministry of Social Affairs distributes social assistance and Atensi aid through the Directorate General of Social Protection and Security and the Directorate General of Social Rehabilitation with a total of IDR 209,926,281,000; 

The program consists of Phase II Family Hope Program Social Assistance (PKH) worth IDR 209,180,398,000 given to 281,727 KPM (Beneficiary Families) distributed through Himbara and PT POS

Meanwhile, ATENSI aid worth IDR 715,883,000 was given to 243 beneficiaries.

ATENSI aid is a social rehabilitation service that uses a family, community, and residential-based approach which includes support for fulfilling a decent life, social care and/or child care, family support, physical therapy, psychosocial therapy, mental spiritual therapy, vocational training, entrepreneurship coaching, social assistance, and accessibility support.

 As for Heirs Compensation Assistance worth IDR 30,000,000 given to 2 Heirs of Fire Disaster Victims;

The activity was attended by Acting  Secretary of the Directorate General of Social Protection and Security Mira Riyati Kurniasih, Head of the Integrated Center of Kartini Temanggung Iyan Kusmadiana, and Head of Budi Perkasa Center Wahyu Dewanto.
