"Galih Pakuan" BRSKPN Held a Study Tour as Psychosocial Therapy
CIBUBUR (October 3rd, 2019) – Social rehabilitation program for the victims of drug abuses at “Galih Pakuan” Social Rehabilitation Center for Victims of Drug Abuse (BRSKPN) Bogor conducted through integrated therapy. One of the activities that is part of a series of psychosocial therapy activities is a routine tour activity which is carried out annually. The study tour activities carried out to provide refreshment to the services recipient that doing rehabilitation program everyday. This activities are expected to be able to give the service recipient a better psychological atmosphere that can support the effort to change the behavior they are living in rehabilitation.
The study tour activities can also train their social skill, not only with fellow beneficiaries and officers in the institution, but also with other people they met during the study tour.
“The location of the study tour was carried out at the Trans Studio Cibubur based on the consideration that so far in previous years the study tour was conducted outdoors. Therefore, to get a new atmosphere this time it is done indoors,” said Wahidin as a Head of “Galih Pakuan” BRSKPN
The choice of Trans Studio Cibubur as study tour location was because there are some rides that could be enjoyed by the beneficiaries, including Alien Taxi, Jurassic Park, Zombie War, Roller Coaster, as well as theater performances and many other rides.
The study tour activities was held on October 3rd,
2019 and attended by 140 participants consisting of 100 beneficiaries and 40 facilitator.
Service recipients are given the freedom to enjoy each rides but remain under
the supervision of a facilitator.
