PANDEGLANG (17 June 2024) – Waluyo (64), a resident of Ciwalet, Sukaratu Village, Majasari District, Pandeglang Regency, Banten, may never forget the evening of Friday, June 14, 2024. Waluyo was surprised to learn that he had received the Integrated Welfare House (RST) program from the Ministry of Social Affairs. Waluyo was astonished even more when the process was quite fast. "Just one hour after being called, the MoSA team came immediately," Waluyo told Social Affairs Minister Tri Rismaharini during a visit to his home on Friday, June 14, 2024.

Waluyo lives in a semi-permanent home with his wife and their youngest child. The half-walled house with a bamboo cabin has three bedrooms, a living area, and one bathroom. Since 1986, or 38 years ago, the house has never been fixed. As a result, it is unsurprising that the house looks dull. Wooden poles and bamboo walls are weathered in some places, while roof tiles are leaking here and there. "That is why we are grateful to have an RST program. "The house we live in is nice and livable," Waluyo explained.

In addition to house repairs, Waluyo also received entrepreneurship aid in the form of a shop that opened in front of his house. The shop serves nasi uduk (Indonesian rice cooked with coconut milk and spices), coconut ice, and a variety of snacks and beverages. "I launched a modest shop a year ago, but I was bankrupt and needed capital. Thankfully, MoSA assisted me, and I even received financial management training. God willing, we can progress and develop," Waluyo remarked, thanking Minister of Social Affairs Tri Rismaharini for visiting his shop.

Waluyo received home repair and shop entrepreneurship aid as part of the MoSA Community Service program in Pandeglang and Lebak Regencies, Banten Province. Building RST was one of the community service activities, and three individuals received it, including Waluyo. Waluyo receives both RST and entrepreneurship aid because he already has a company embryo. Waluyo's house is currently being renovated by the MoSA team, which includes Tagana, the village apparatus, and the surrounding community.
