Guidance and Strengthening of the Family Support Assistant Coordinator
BOGOR (October 2, 2019) - The Director General of Social Rehabilitation Edi Suharto gave instruction to Guidance and Consolidation Elderly Family Support Coordinator participants.
In his direction, Edi explained that the existence of Law 23 of 2014 concerning Regional Governments meant that the Central Government could no longer provide services to the abandoned seniors, because it had become the authority of the Provincial and Regency / City Governments which were obliged to provide Basic Social Rehabilitation inside and outside center of rehabilitation.
This Capacity Building Activity is a technical support which in essence providing knowledge and understanding to the LU Progress Coordinator at the District / City level in assistance of non potential elderly.
Furthermore Edi mentioned Social Rehabilitation Activities containing four activities namely Aimed Assistance, Family Support, Social Care, and Therapy. To support the implementation of Social Rehabilitation, social assistance, technical support and accessibility support.
