JAKARTA (October 28, 2024) — Minister of Social Affairs Saifullah Yusuf (Gus Ipul) underlined the significance of a united effort to support President Prabowo Subianto's goal of clean, accountable, and integrated governance for Indonesia's prosperity. Gus Ipul emphasized three primary points in his talk that are meant to serve as guides for all levels of the Ministry of Social Affairs and relevant stakeholders as they carry out their tasks.

"The President wants us all to work with a firm resolve to avoid corruption, work with accurate data, and foster cross-sectoral integration," stated Gus Ipul at the 96th Youth Pledge Day ceremony at the Ministry of Social Affairs (MoSA) office in Jakarta on Monday (10/28/2024).

According to Gus Ipul, data is an essential foundation for assuring work accuracy. Furthermore, he stated that poverty data is highly dynamic, demanding continuous updates to the Integrated Social Welfare Data (DTKS) kept by MoSA. The objective is that DTKS will become the sole official reference for social welfare programs.

"Thank God, we already have DTKS. This should be the single reference used by the government, considering that other institutions also have related data for their respective fields. Alongside Vice Minister of Social Affairs, Mr. Agus Jabo, we are committed to achieving unified social welfare data within the next 100 days," he added.

Gus Ipul revealed that DTKS collects data using two channels. The first is through government channels, which begin at the urban neighborhood level with village meetings. This data is then transmitted to district/city administrations for approval before being submitted to the Ministry of Social Affairs.

In addition to government channels, the public can verify data via the Aplikasi Cek Bansos. This allows the community to suggest or rebute any incorrect data.

Gus Ipul also emphasized the necessity of cross-sectoral integration in their work. "We must collaborate across directorates-general and with other ministries and agencies. "There should be no sectoral ego; all parts must understand each other's roles and responsibilities," he stated.

With a focus on accurate data, cross-sector integration, and an anti-corruption commitment, the aim is to create a more measured and well-planned working system that aligns with President Prabowo Subianto's vision for Indonesia.
