Handover of Compensation for Inheritance of West Sulawesi Earthquake Victims
MAMUJU (January 28, 2021) - Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture Muhadjir Effendi together with Minister of Social Affairs Tri Rismaharini, Minister of Women's Empowerment and Child Protection (PPPA) I Gusti Ayu Bintang Darmawati and National Board for Disaster Management (BNPB) Secretary General Harmensyah handed over compensation to the heirs of the West Sulawesi earthquake disaster victims to the Governor of West Sulawesi Andy Ali Baal Masdar amounted to IDR 1,620 billion for 108 people, each heir received compensation of IDR 15 million per person. The donation was held at the Command Post in the West Sulawesi Governor's office.
BNPB data as of January 28, 2021, at 14.00 WIB, the total number of people displaced was 91,657 people. A total of 27,537 people were spread over 20 refugee posts in the Majene Regency area, while in Mamuju Regency it was spread over 229 points with 58,795 people and the rest in Polewali Mandar Regency spread over 111 points.
Also present at the handover were the Director General of Regional Advocates at the Ministry of Home Affairs Safrizal ZA, the Director General for the Acceleration of Development of Disadvantaged Regions, the Director General of Health Care at the Ministry of Health Dr. Abdul Kadir, the Deputy for Special Protection for Children at the Ministry of PPPA, Nahar, the Director of Logistics at BNPB Rustian and Head of BNPB General Bureau Andi Eviana.
