Hiring Persons with Hearing and Speech Disabilities, Khrisna Owner: They Work Very Well
BALI (March 25th,
2024) – One of the state’s duties was providing services for all citizens,
including persons with hearing and speech disabilities.
Ministry of Social Affairs collaborated with businesspeople committed to giving chances to persons with hearing and speech disabilities so that they could work.
One of them was Ajik Khrisna, known for his Balinese souvenir shops franchise, which became a shopping destination for domestic or international tourists.
The owner Ajik Khrisna, Gusti Ngurah Anom explained that he was interested in hiring persons with hearing and speech disabilities because he was concerned about their destiny.
“From the concern about their destiny to try recruiting them to work as cleaning service and place them in several outlets,” Gusti said in Bali on Sunday (March 24th).
After a while, the result was seen. They worked very well. Thus, it was decided to recruit more persons with hearing and speech disabilities as employees.
“From the existing franchises, there are two factories. One of them will be fully filled by persons with hearing and speech disabilities,” Gusti said.
Not many people know that Krisna's business line is not just a souvenir shop. Khrisna also had culinary business in several locations, convection or clothing production, and premium car shops.

Recently, Minister of Social Affairs Tri Rismaharini visited the employees with disabilities who worked in Ajik Khrisna and had a dialogue with Gusti Ngurah Anom.
Gusti Ayu Risa (22), who is a person with hearing and speech disabilities felt, so happy because she could work there, and it was her second year there. Besides that, she also has friendly colleagues supporting her to work.
“I am so happy and excited to work at Khrisna Company in Bali. It is my second year and I earn IDR 2,9 million per month,” Risa said in sign language.
