JAKARTA (March 31, 2023) – Treatment for Social Welfare Service Recipients (PPKS) includes rehabilitation, protection, social security, and sustainable empowerment for citizens to have the same rights as others.

"I see how difficult their lives are because I once went under a bridge to find a mother (Mrs. Ina), she didn't want to be invited to the Center because she has a child who is a victim of rape and a person with HIV/AIDS," said Minister of Social Affairs Tri Rismaharini while tearing up tears when inaugurating Low-Cost Subsidied Flats at Mulya Jaya Center in Jakarta, Friday (31/3/2023).

To the prospective occupants of Mulya Jaya Flats, the Minister of Social Affairs advised that specifically for poor people, a rental rate of IDR 10,000 per month will be charged.

"I have ordered the occupants of the flats, not to transfer ownership indiscriminately. If it violates, there will be sanctions, namely the occupants of the rooms will be expelled," said the Minister of Social Affairs.

In particular, the Minister of Social Affairs expressed her gratitude to Basuki Hadimuljono because the construction of Mulya Jaya Flat was carried out by the Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR).

"I express my deepest gratitude to Mr. President and Mr. Minister of PUPR for building this flat," she said.

The Director General of Social Rehabilitation, Pepen Nazaruddin stated that the flats are temporary for the occupants considering the function of the flats as part of the rehabilitation and empowerment process to help beneficiary families get out of poverty.

"ATENSI was given for PPKS ranging from children, disabilities, elderly, and vulnerable groups so that they can recover their social functioning. Also, PPKS receives regular assistance support so they can economically independent through National Economic Hero Program (PENA)," said Pepen.

Prospective residents of Mulya Jaya Flat totaled 76 families or 259 people based on the type of PPKS. "The residential facility has 5 floors with 93 rooms, on the 1st floor there are 2 rooms for persons with disabilities and 3 rooms for elderly, and floors 2 to 5 each with 22 rooms," said Pepen.

Room for persons with disabilities unit with a residential area of ​​24 m2, with dining table (1 table, 3 chairs), 1 wardrobe, 1 bed for 2 people, gas stove, 3 kg gas cylinder, and half a dozen glass and plates.

Other PPKS Room Units have a residential area of ​​24 m2, equipped with a dining table (1 table, 4 chairs), 2 wardrobes, 2 bunk beds for 4 people, gas stove and 3 kg gas cylinder, half a dozen cutlery (plates, glasses).

“Also, electricity and water, parking areas, health services, Digital Reading Corner, ATENSI Creation Centers, Function Rooms, lockers, CCTV security systems, access to waste disposal, safety nets, accessibility for persons with disabilities, toilets for persons with disabilities and public toilets; as well as herbal plants,” concluded Pepen.
