BOGOR (February 4, 2020) - Minister of Social Affairs (Mensos) Mr. Juliari P. Batubara made a Work Visit to several E-Warongs in West Java Province for implementing the Non-Cash Food Aid / Staple Food Program. The Minister of Social Affairs visited E-Warong Anggrek and E-Warong H. Usman which are located on Jalan Tajur Bogor and Ciloto Puncak Kab. Cianjur. West Java province.

The Minister of Social Affairs was accompanied by the Director for Handling Poverty Region I, A.M Asnandar, the Regent of Bogor Regency, Herman Suherman, and a representative from Bank Negara Indonesia (BNI), Ichsan.

During his visit, the Minister of Social Affairs checked the progress of the newly launched basic food program. The Minister of Social Affairs also asked about the readiness of available food ingredients, including the addition of food ingredients in the Non-Cash Food Assistance Program (BPNT) / Staple Food Program. In Bogor, Beneficiary Families (KPM) who attended reported that food supplies such as rice, eggs, vegetables and chicken meat were ready to be distributed through E-Warong Anggrek.

In a dialogue with KPM at E-Warong Anggrek Bogor, he said that KPM should graduate immediately with the intention that later KPM will not depend on social assistance anymore.

The Minister of Social Affairs emphasized the KPM to remain enthusiastic in improving their standard of living. "Ladies, stay enthusiastic and hopefully graduate from KPM soon," said the Minister.

Then at the next E-Warung located in Ciloto - Puncak, the Minister of Social Affairs only found additional types of ingredients in the form of nuts as new food additions, this is because E-Warong H. Usman does not have a refrigerator to store meat which will be sold later to the KPM.

During his visit, the Minister of Social Affairs hopes that with this increase in the value of social assistance, KPM can provide better nutritional intake for their children, and later they can develop to be free from poverty, "Ladies, hopefully the increased value of assistance can be spent to increase child nutrition," said the Minister of Social Affairs.
