Visit to several E-Warongs in West Java Province for implementing the Non-Cash

Anggrek and E-Warong H. Usman which are located on Jalan Tajur Bogor and Ciloto
Puncak Kab. Cianjur. West Java province.
The Minister of
Social Affairs was accompanied by the Director for Handling Poverty Region I,
A.M Asnandar, the Regent of Bogor Regency, Herman Suherman, and a
representative from Bank Negara Indonesia (BNI), Ichsan.
During his
visit, the Minister of Social Affairs checked the progress of the newly
launched basic food program. The Minister of Social Affairs also asked about
the readiness of available food ingredients, including the addition of food
ingredients in the Non-Cash Food Assistance Program (BPNT) / Staple Food
Program. In Bogor, Beneficiary Families (KPM) who attended reported that food
supplies such as rice, eggs, vegetables and chicken meat were ready to be
distributed through E-Warong Anggrek.
In a dialogue
with KPM at E-Warong Anggrek Bogor, he said that KPM should graduate
immediately with the intention that later KPM will not depend on social
assistance anymore.
The Minister of
Social Affairs emphasized the KPM to remain enthusiastic in improving their
standard of living. "Ladies, stay enthusiastic and hopefully graduate from
KPM soon," said the Minister.
Then at the next
E-Warung located in Ciloto - Puncak, the Minister of Social Affairs only found
additional types of ingredients in the form of nuts as new food additions, this
is because E-Warong H. Usman does not have a refrigerator to store meat which
will be sold later to the KPM.
During his
visit, the Minister of Social Affairs hopes that with this increase in the
value of social assistance, KPM can provide better nutritional intake for their
children, and later they can develop to be free from poverty, "Ladies,
hopefully the increased value of assistance can be spent to increase child
nutrition," said the Minister of Social Affairs.
