MAGELANG (May 4, 2023) - Minister of Social Affairs Tri Rismaharini whipped up the enthusiasm of students by emphasizing the importance of never giving up to pursue success.

Minister of Social Affairs Risma did this during her visit to SMA Taruna Nusantara Magelang when she was appointed as a Keynote Speaker at a seminar commemorating Kartini Day and National Education Day at the school, Wednesday (3/5).

"Never complain about studying. Success is waiting for all of you out there. You just have to pick it up or not, because there is no success and success without struggle," said Minister of Social Affairs Risma at the Pancasila Hall of Taruna Nusantara High School Magelang, Wednesday (3/5).

In front of 800 students of class X and XI, Risma shared a number of her life experiences, both joy and sorrow, since serving as the Mayor of Surabaya, to the current Minister of Social Affairs.

"To be able to get the independence that we feel now, our past heroes have to do a long struggle. Including me, ups and downs, until people trusted me to lead Surabaya, and now the Minister of Social Affairs. That struggle is what allows us to survive anywhere," said Risma.

For her, continuing to direct and motivate millennial children was important. Teenagers of this age were emotionally unstable.

"The most important thing is not to complain easily, don't give up easily. You have to focus on pursuing success, so that your goals can be achieved," she said.

Risma said that the opportunity to get an education at SMA Taruna Nusantara Magelang was not something that all teenagers of their age could experience. Then, she asked students to be grateful and serious in learning.

"Because not everyone can be here, so don't waste the opportunity. The future of this nation rests on your generation. If you are not the ones we are pushing to advance the nation, then who will?" Risma said firmly.

Risma's presentation with the theme "RA Kartini's Struggle Values ​​and Women's Transformational Leadership" received a positive response from Favian Azkal Azkiya (17), a class XI MIPA student at SMA Taruna Nusantara Magelang.

This well-built student from Sidoarjo said Risma provided an interactive method of presentation by involving students to ask questions directly to her. Based on the experience shared by Risma, he admitted that he was motivated.

"She shared a lot of knowledge and experience, especially her experience abroad. Meeting many people and the opportunity to speak at international conferences," said Favian impressed.

Furthermore, the student who had the opportunity to ask Risma questions related to social welfare, said that she was ready to apply the key to success that Risma conveyed.

“She said we shouldn't complain, we shouldn't give up if we want to be successful and successful. That was the thing she emphasized the most for me to be able to apply in studying at school and pursuing my future goals," he said.
