BANDUNG (November 13, 2024) - Minister of Social Affairs Saifullah Yusuf (Gus Ipul) and Vice Minister of Social Affairs Agus Jabo Priyono visited several locations in Bandung City and Regency to strengthen the synergy of social services between the central and regional governments.

The first visit took place at Pusdai, Bandung City, at the Dialogue with the Social Pillars. Gus Ipul highlighted the important role of the Social Pillars in assisting beneficiaries. He conveyed the collaboration plan between the Ministry of Social Affairs and the West Java Provincial Government to support underprivileged residents to live in simple rental flats (rusunawa).

The second location was Campus II of the Social Welfare Polytechnic in Soreang, Bandung Regency, where Minister and Vice Minister of Social Affairs met with farmers who manage land on the campus. They provided basic needs as support to around 60 local farmers, including 3 sacks of 5 kg rice, 1 kg of eggs, 2 cans of corned beef, 2 cans of sardines, 1 2000 ml cooking oil, 1 kg of sugar, 30 tea bags, 1 825 ml soy sauce, 1 800 gram detergent, toothpaste, 3 toothbrushes, 1 pack of bar soap, 960 ml of dishwashing soap, and biscuits.

Finally, Minister and Vice Minister of Social Affairs visited the Harmonis Agamis "Harmis" Social Welfare Center in Sekarwangi Village, reviewed the services, and gave appreciation to the officers for their dedication in serving the community. Gus Ipul emphasized the importance of the Social Welfare Center as a center for social welfare services and expressed his desire to expand cooperation with local governments to establish more Social Welfare Centers in various regions.

As support, the Ministry of Social Affairs also handed over office equipment to support the performance of the Social Welfare Center in several villages, expected to strengthen social services in the region.
