PEMALANG (November 20, 2020) - The Minister of Social Affairs, Juliari P. Batubara, firmly instructed Human Resources (HR) of the Family Hope Program (PKH) not to hold the Prosperous Family Cards (KKS) belonging to the Beneficiary Families (KPM) they assist.

"There should no longer be KKS held by the companion. Unless, for example, the elderly family beneficiaries. So, please, let all KPM hold the card," said the Minister of Social Affairs when greeting PKH companions during the activity. Technical Coordination and Quality Improvement of PKH Human Resources in Pemalang Regency, Friday (20/11).

To accelerate poverty alleviation, Juliari said, all KPM PKH must receive complementary assistance. Ari, the Social Minister's nickname, hopes that PKH companions can ensure that all KPM they assist receive Non-Cash Food Assistance (BPNT). "I don't want to see any more KPM PKH who don't receive BPNT every month," he said.

Although he strongly rebuked the PKH companions regarding the KKS, Ari also appreciated the performance of the PKH companions who had worked very well so far. He emphasized that PKH companions are the spearhead of PKH, because companions are PKH implementers in the field.

For this reason, Ministry of Social Affairs gives awards to assistants who excel in delivering their assisted KPM so that many graduate. "Earlier we also gave appreciation awards, I express my gratitude and highest appreciation to all PKH companions in Purbalingga Regency," said Ari.

In addition to greeting PKH companions in Pemalang Regency, on the same day, the Minister of Social Affairs, who was accompanied by the Director General of Social Protection and Security, Pepen Nazaruddin, and the Director of Family Social Security (JSK), Rachmat Koesnadi, also met with PKH companions in Purbalingga Regency.

Every visit to the region, he said that he always asked for the opportunity to have direct dialogue with the companion, "Because companions are the spearhead of PKH. Without them, PKH is only a presentation, they are the one who implements this program in the field. Most of PKH's success is in the companions' hands," said the Minister of Social Affairs.

Meanwhile, the Director General of Social Protection and Security, Pepen Nazaruddin, said that the national graduation target is one million KPM PKH. "In November, this target has reached 979,461 KPM," said Pepen.

Based on data from the JSK Directorate, it was reported that the Director General of Central Java Province had graduated as many as 230,085 KPM. "The data includes Purbalingga Regency which is recorded to have graduated 5,390 KPM, and Pemalang Regency which is recorded to have graduated 6,277 KPM," he said.
