Ministry of Social Affairs Collaborate with YPP SCTV Indosiar

JAKARTA (April 27, 2020) - Minister of Social Affairs Juliari P Batubara received assistance from the community donations through the Yayasan Pundi Amal Peduli Kasih (YPP) at Media Center Room for the COVID-19 Handling Social Safety Net on the 2nd Floor, Ministry of Social Affairs Office.

The community donation which worth 1 billion rupiah is in the form of 10,000 food packages that valued Rp. 100,000,- per package. This will be distributed by the Ministry of Social Affairs to the people who affected economically by COVID-19 including the Social Pillars, Warakawuri, Veterans, Independence Pioneer, and Widows of Independence Pioneer.

"This assistance is very useful for Indonesian people, we really hope the involvement of the business community, so that we can solve this problem till the end of this co-pandemic and we can returns to our normal life as usual," said Juliari P Batubara.

In this case, the Minister of Social Affairs also explained that the government focused on 3 (three) issues in dealing with the COVID-19 pandemic, first is health, second is social protection which really need the cooperation of all parties, not only the central government and the regions, but also business world, and the third is economic recovery. We are expected that by the end of May this will be the culmination of Corona pandemic.

EMTEK PEDULI CORONA program is one of the manifestations of cooperation and partnerships that have been established by the Ministry of Social Affairs, as well as a form of EMTEK GROUP's contribution through YPP SCTV Indosiar to help the government.

"Emtek has the Corona Care program, which is implemented through Pundi Amal Peduli Kasih Foundation (YPP), which accommodates public funds either through broadcast media (sctv, indosiar, ocannel) or online media (bukalapak and liputan6.com), the enthusiasm of the community is very huge so there is so many contributions related to corona assistance, "said Imam Sudjarwo, The Head of YPP SCTV Indosiar.

"PUB which is known in collecting donations can only be held by organizations, foundations or committees that meet the requirements and have received permission from the government in accordance with their authority, for example is YPP SCTV Indosiar. The granting of permission to collect donations is done through the Indonesian Ministry of Social Affairs at the Directorate of Source Management Funds and Social Assistance (PSDBS) Directorate General of Social Empowerment," explained Director General of Social Empowerment Edi Suharto.

The Indonesian Minister of Social Affairs highly appreciates what has been done by YPP SCTV Indosiar and explained that the Ministry of Social Affairs is very open, even he wants to encourage Foundations / Organizations, Business World and other Ministry of Social partners to be able to do positive activities so that problems can be resolved quickly .
