Ministry of Social Affairs Distributes Ambon Earthquake Heirs' Compensation

The Indonesian Ministry of Social Affairs has distributed heir benefits to the families of victims who died as a result of the earthquake disaster in Maluku. Director General of Social Protection and Social Security, Harry Hikmat, accompanied by Director of Social Protection for Natural Disaster Victims, Rachmat Koesnadi, provided heirs to one of the victims' families, Ms. Joana, a resident of Hutumuri Village, Ambon City, because her mother, Yacoba. There are 41 residents have been declared dead as a result of the earthquake in Maluku, and 22 victims' families have received compensation from heirs.

Director General Linjamsos said that the compensation of the heirs would soon be given to all families (heirs) of the dead victims. This assistance amounted to 15 million rupiah for each death victim.
