JAMBI (December 27th 2019) - Director General for the Poverty Handling (Dirjen PFM), Andi ZA Dulung conveyed the target of the Minister of Social Affairs (Mensos) that the Ministry of Social Affairs (Kemensos) is ready to distribute IDR 9 trillion for social assistance (bansos) in January 2020.

"The minister has targeted, reported to the president that for all of Indonesia, the Ministry of Social Affairs is ready to distribute Rp. 9 trillion social assistance in January," said the Director General of PFM at the Focus Group Discussion (FGD) activity of Non-Cash Food Assistance (BPNT) at the Directorate of Poverty Handling Region I which was held at a hotel in Jambi.

Delivered by the Director General of Poverty Handling, the target also saw an increase in the amount of BPNT assistance for Beneficiary Families (KPM), where this year the assistance was given at IDR 110,000 / KPM / month and next year it will increase to IDR 150,000 / KPM /month.

To the participants who attended, the Director General of Poverty Handling hoped that in January 2020 all parties involved in social assistance from central and regional could immediately distribute social assistance. "In January, we (central and regional government) must immediately distribute social assistance, both PKH (Family Hope Program) and BPNT," said the Director General of Poverty Handling.

In order to achieve the Minister of Social Affairs target, the Director General of Poverty Handling has planned that on January 2nd 2020, it will start transfers to the Association of State-Owned Banks (Himbara). "Bansos already has a line, already has an account, I have also asked the directors to make a transfer to the Himbara bank as soon as possible, but because on January 2nd we can start (the transfer) from there," explained the Director General of Poverty Handling.

More specifically, the Director General of Poverty Handling also advised representatives from Himbara and the Public Logistics Agency (Perum Bulog) who were present as participants to be proactive in preparing for distribution in January 2020. "Please prepare properly in January, we must distribute all social assistance as quickly as possible, including Himbara, please be proactive in order to continue to coordinate with us (the Ministry of Social Affairs) if there are obstacles, Bulog also has to prepare the goods to be supplied from the start, "concluded the Director General of Poverty Handling.

Previously, the activity report was submitted by the Director of Poverty Handling Region I, AM Asnandar and remarks by the Head of the Jambi Province Social Service, Arief Munandar. In his report, the Director of Poverty Handling Region I said that the purpose of this activity was to find out the obstacles experienced in the distribution of food social assistance, to find solutions to the obstacles that occur in the distribution of food social assistance, and to anticipate problems that might occur in the distribution of food social assistance.

Participants who attended the event totaled 52 participants who came from elements of the Jambi Province Social Service, Head of District / City Social Services throughout Jambi Province, District / City Supervisors, Kortex, Korkab / Korkot Assisting Family Program (PKH), PKH Regional Coordinator , Himbara, and Perum Bulog throughout Jambi Province.
