Mulya Jaya Center Distributes Aid for Persons with Disabilities in Tangerang Regency
TANGERANG (April 18, 2023) - The Ministry of Social Affairs through Mulya
Jaya Center Jakarta distributed Social Rehabilitation Assistance (ATENSI) aid
in the form of hearing aids and adaptive canes for 15 persons with hearing
disabilities and 2 persons with visual disabilities in Surya Bahari Village,
Tangerang, Banten, with total assistance of IDR 28,862,000.
On this occasion, Mulya Jaya Center Team also practiced how to install and use adaptive canes so that PPKS can adapt to using these tools to facilitate their daily activities.
One of the beneficiaries, Siti, who is deaf, expressed her gratitude for the assistance provided. "Thank you very much for your help, Thank God, now I can hear again," said Siti.
Meanwhile, Sapto, the Head of the Social Rehabilitation Division of the Tangerang Regency Social Office hopes that this collaboration between the central and regional governments can continue.
"This is a very good program and right on target to assist. We are very grateful and hope that this collaboration will continue and the recipients will get benefits," said Sapto.
