BEKASI (9th June 2020) - Entering a new normal era, each institution will deal with new challenges. Now, The Center have to adapt to provide optimal rehabilitation services with different procedures and governance. This was conveyed by the Director General of Social Rehabilitation of the Indonesian Ministry of Social Affairs, Harry Hikmat on his working visit to the Social Rehabilitation Center for Drug Abuse Victims (BRSKP) "Satria" Baturraden, Friday, June 5, 2020.

Based on the direction of the Directorate General of Social Rehabilitation. The Bekasi “Budhi Dharma” Elderly Center is speeding up the distribution of basic food assistance in 2 (two) different locations, in the Jamrud Biru Foundation for Social Welfare Institutions (LKS) at Jl. Raya Mustikasari, RT03 RW04, No. 49 Bekasi City and Family Empowerment Post (Posdaya) Kenanga RW 02 Jatimelati Sub-district, Pondok Melati District, Bekasi City West Java.

The total of 60 packages of basic food social assistance were distributed by the Bekasi “Budhi Dharma” Elderly Center to elderly affected by COVID-19 in the Bekasi City area. The assistance for LKS Jamrud Biru Foundation as much as 30 packages of basic food social assistance were given directly at the LKS location and for the elderly in Family Empowerment Post (Posdaya) Kenanga RW 02, as many as 30 basic food assistance packages were given at the secretariat office.

Mr. Haryono as a representative of the Jamrud Biru Foundation expressed his gratitude to the Ministry of Social Affairs through the Bekasi "Budhi Dharma" Elderly Center for distributing basic food social assistance, which is of course very beneficial for the community in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Mrs. Anih Kuding as the representative of Family Empowerment Post (Posdaya) RW 02, Jatimelati thanked to the Indonesian Ministry of Social Affairs through the Bekasi "Budhi Dharma" Elderly Center, "Thank God, we have accepted the assistance have arrived to us in according to what has been proposed and hopefully it will be useful for the elderly in the Family Empowerment Post (Posdaya) Kenanga RW 02, Jatimelati Bekasi City".

The Bekasi "Budhi Dharma" Elderly Center has distributed 1475 basic food social assistance packages out of a total of 3038 packages sourced from the center's refocusing budget. It is hoped that the distribution of basic food assistance can be a helpful solution for PM during the COVID-19 pandemic.
