Persuading Islamic Junior High School Student to Prevent Bullying
MUARA BUNGO (July 18, 2020) – The Ministry of Social Affairs through the “Alyatama” Children’s Center in Jambi is back with Social Worker Go to School which this time was held in Muaro Bungo District. This activity was held at Islamic Junior High School that also Islamic Boarding School Qira’atul Qur’an, Bungo District and was attended by 30 children.
The activity theme “Stop Bullying and Stop Violence Against Children” was presented by Maizon, Elyadi and Alita as social workers of the center. Social workers explain about bullying in terms of understanding, types of bullying, something that make people do bullying and tips to preventing and overcoming bullying and displaying graphics about violence against children that has occurred so far.
“It turns out that most of the phenomena of bullying and violence against children that occur are the closest people and even your peers, and if you experience or know of any physical, emotional, sexual or bullying violence, you must have the courage to speak up. Talk and tell about it,” said Elyadi as Social Worker.
In addition to delivering presentation, there are
also gifts for children who are able to answer questions about the presentation
that has been given. The hope for this activity is that children know,
understand and are able to prevent acts of violence of bullying in their
environment.
