"Phala Martha" BRSPDM Conducts Case Responses and Crisis Interventions
PALU (October 12th, 2019) - "Phala Martha" Social Rehabilitation Center for People with Mental Disabilities (BRSPDM) Sukabumi implements the function of the rehabilitation center as a Case Response Center and Crisis Intervention. Following up on information from the Social Service Agency of Central Sulawesi that there are acts of retention of people with Mental Disabilities (PDM) in Palu that require immediate treatment.
There are six stocks cases identified in Palu City. The problem that caused the case is the low understanding of family and community, the economic conditions of the community, geographical conditions that prevented accessibility, and the erroneous cultural patterns that were still held by the family.
"Phala Martha" Social Rehabilitation Center for People with Mental Disabilities (BRSPDM) Sukabumi in synergy with Central Sulawesi Social Service Agency, Palu Social Service Agency, Public health center, Disability Facilitator. Community Policing (Bhabinkamtibmas), Noncommissioned law enforcement officer (Babinsa), Military Rayon Command (Koramil). village office, and Community local authorities conducted stocks free and evacuated four PDM to Madani Mental Hospital to get psychiatric medical services.
Education is also carried out for families and the community in order to provide appropriate treatment to the PDM in terms of care so that it will not repeat mounting
