LUMAJANG (May 22, 2021) - On Saturday (22/5), 60 residents in Tempursari District, Lumajang Regency were struggling to assemble the framework of evacuee tents, prepare public kitchens, and evacuate disaster victims. This is part of the disaster preparedness training organized by the Ministry of Social Affairs for people living in disaster-prone areas.

Lumajang, which is located on the southern coast of Java Island, has a fairly high level of disaster vulnerability. Various types of disasters such as landslides, earthquakes, and tsunamis are a separate threat that must be responded to by preparing a disaster response community through the establishment of a Disaster Alert Village (KSB).
