KUPANG CITY - (6 May 2021) - Kupang City's Human Resources (HR) Family Hope Program (PKH) in
collaboration with the Indonesian Dharma Health Association (PERDAKHI) of East
Nusa Tenggara (NTT) conducted Counseling Training activities on Tuberculosis
(TBC).
"TBC is a dangerous or contagious disease that can attack
anyone at any time, and under any circumstances, so it needs to be treated and
maintained properly so it doesn't have a bad impact on people around,"
said Kupang City PKH Coordinator, Gratia Thani on the sidelines of the event
during the training, Wednesday (5/5).
According to Gratiana, so far, the findings through the assistance
in the field, after tracing there are many PKH beneficiaries who have quite
dangerous diseases, such as tuberculosis, "And this is a serious concern
for the government through the Ministry of Social Affairs," she said.
One of the goals of PKH carried out by the Ministry of Social
Affairs is for Beneficiary Families (KPM) to be able to access health
facilities by increasing awareness of the importance of a healthy lifestyle.
PKH human resources are at the forefront of the program that will assist
beneficiaries, as well as assist residents or KPM affected by
tuberculosis.
"This activity needs to be carried out to become a
provision for Kupang City PKH HR to understand and know well how to deal with
TB," she said.
The training presented speakers from the Head of Disease Control
and Eradication Division of the Kupang City Health Office, Sri Wahyuningsih and
Puskesmas (Public Health Center) officer who handles TB with material on TB
Basic Information and Policies, Strategies, TB Situation in Kupang City, and
the Role of PKH Facilitators in conducting Counseling to assisted KPM.
PKH is one of the government's flagship programs that focuses on
providing conditional social assistance to poor families who are designated as
beneficiaries.
