TEMANGGUNG (October 10th, 2019) - "Prof. Dr. Soeharso" Social Rehabilitation Center for Persons with Physical Disabilities (BBRSPDF) Surakarta as a Pilot Project held outreach activities again for Family-Based Social Rehabilitation (RSBK) in Parakan District, Temanggung Regency, Central Java.
The activity began with the mapping of persons with physical disabilities in areas targeted by RSBK activities, followed by initial data collection activities in the form of identification, assessment, verification of prospective service recipient data and Case Trial meeting (CC) for the intervention plan.
Parakan Subdistrict, Temanggung Regency, is one of eight RSBK activity locations with a total of 380 service recipients. The eight locations of the RSBK activities are in Magelang district, Wonogiri, Temanggung sub-district Temanggung district, Parakan sub-district Temanggung district, Mejayan sub-district Madiun district, Gemarang sub-district Madiun Regency, Magetan Regency and Gunung Kidul Regency.
Beside social psychotherapy, livelihood therapy in this activity is also carried out in the form of cullinary skills, sheep, chicken, duck and bird livestock. The program also provides BanTu (Purposed Assistance) to participants with physical disabilities, in the form of money in the amount of Rp. 2,000,000, - which is channeled directly / cash transfer through each account. The BanTu is used to purchase materials and equipment according to the type of skills followed.
The Head of the Temanggung Regency Social Service Agency highly appreciates this activity and hopes that this assistance can develop the participants' abilities. Furthermore, the Regional Secretary of Temanggung Regency also hopes that participants will be confident that they have the same potential as non-disabled people.

The activity carried out in Parakan Subdistrict, Temanggung Regency on October 8-10, 2019 was attended by 50 beneficiaries and 50 facilitators from beneficiary families.
