SURABAYA (December 12, 2020) - The Ministry of Social Affairs should be proud of the election of 3 Social Worker Service Units (Sakti Peksos) who received awards at the peak of the commemoration of the National Social Solidarity Day (HKSN) of East Java Province in 2020 which carried the theme of Social Solidarity Against COVID-19 19. The event was held lively at the DBL Arena Surabaya Building and was attended by the Governor of East Java, Khofifah Indar Parawansa.
3 Sakti Peksos who won the award as Outstanding Social Workforce Workers in 2020 including Bintaryana Anugraheni (Kediri Sakti Peksos) who won first place, Nikma Fauziah (Ponorogo Sakti Peksos) as second winner and Dedy Tri Kuncoro (Pasuruan Sakti Peksos) as third place winner in this category. The three winners received awards and coaching money with a total of Rp15 million which was handed over directly by the Governor of East Java, the East Java Regional Police Chief and the Pangdam V Brawijaya.
The Sakti Peksos with Achievement Award in 2020 has gone through a series of selection stages which were carried out from October to November 2020. Among the 13 Sakti Peksos who took part in the selection, 3 people who won the award received the best assessment from the results of writing a scientific paper Best Practice Sakti Peksos, and have taken online exams and competency assessments.
Each of the Social Work Units that succeeded in becoming champions had handled cases of various social problems for children as their main task. Until December 2020, Bintaryana managed to handle 110 cases of children, Nikma had handled 72 cases of children and Dedy as many as 34 cases of children. This should be appreciated considering that handling cases of children during the COVID-19 pandemic is a challenge for Sakti Peksos.
Bintaryana, the first winner of Sakti Social Workforce with Achievement, said that he was touched and proud of the award he had received so far. "I feel very proud, especially when the Governor said that Sakti Peksos is cool and must continue to be enthusiastic, especially in providing the best service to children," he said.
This award is an extraordinary appreciation from the East Java Provincial Government for the hard work of Social Workers in serving children so far. This will be an encouragement for other Sakti Peksos to continue to fight for Indonesian children, especially East Java children.
Besides Sakti Peksos, awards for other outstanding social pillars were also given by the Governor of East Java including TKSK, PSM, TAGANA, and social institutions. This is a form of appreciation for the social pillars who are highly dedicated in serving the community.
