SAWAHLUNTO (April 3, 2023) — The Ministry of Social Affairs through Jakarta Mulya Jaya Center signed a cooperation agreement with the City Government of Sawahlunto to deal with the poverty of Social Welfare Service Recipients (PPKS) in Sawahlunto City, West Sumatra.

 

After symbolizing the cooperation agreement, the Ministry of Social Affairs provided ATENSI aid for IDR 588,904,737.00 for 89 PPKS in the form of entrepreneurship assistance. This assistance was provided as a form of the Ministry of Social Affairs' care for vulnerable groups.

 

Representing the Head of Mulya Jaya Center in Jakarta, Acting Head of Administration Latifah Ningrum said that in 2023, assistance will be provided to 21 elderly, 33 vulnerable groups, 31 persons with disabilities, and four children with special needs, which is the result of an assessment from 2022.

 

The types of entrepreneurship assistance provided include livestock, such as catfish, chicken, and goat livestock. Then in the form of a sewing business, groceries, and agriculture.

 

"We hope that all ATENSI Entrepreneurship assistance that Mulya Jaya Center has distributed will continue to develop in the future to support their economy," she added.

 

The Mayor of Sawahlunto Deri Asta thanked, appreciated, and was very confident that the presence of Mulya Jaya Center team brings good benefits to vulnerable groups in Sawahlunto City for this collaboration.

 

"On behalf of the City Government of Sawahlunto, we expressed our gratitude to the Ministry of Social Affairs for bringing some assistance. Of course, we are confident and believe that all this assistance can benefit the residents of Sawahlunto City," he said.

 

In this case, Latifah Ningrum emphasized to the City Government of Sawahlunto to play an active role in monitoring the entrepreneurial development of the beneficiaries so that this assistance can develop and be sustainable.
