Reaching Remote Areas of NTT, Social Affairs Minister Risma Distributes Various Basic Food Assistance and Wheelchairs

To get to Golo Wune Village, East Manggarai (25/2), Social Affairs Minister Risma had to travel 2 hours from Frans Sales Lega Airport, Ruteng, Manggarai Regency, then had to travel for 1 hour by double cabin car due to damaged road access.

The Minister of Social Affairs promised to provide group empowerment assistance. Based on the dialogue, residents asked for capital to farm pigs, laying hens, and cattle farms. Apart from that, there is also clean water management, irrigation, and tractors. The Minister of Social Affairs asked the community to be involved in labor-intensive programs, including the involvement of women.

Apart from dialogue, the Minister of Social Affairs immediately fulfilled the requests of residents who needed assistive devices such as 2 units of standard wheelchairs, 2 units of 3-in-1 wheelchairs, 1 unit of 3-legged walker, 1 unit of 4-legged walker, 2 units of adaptive walking sticks, 2 units of walking sticks. Apart from that, the Minister of Social Affairs also distributed necessities to 100 Beneficiary Families (KPM) who were children experiencing stunting, people with disabilities, babies and toddlers, as well as vulnerable groups and the elderly.
