SERANG (March 1, 2022) - Floods hit the City of Serang, Banten and its surroundings on Tuesday (1/3). The floods occurred due to continuous rains since Monday (28/2), which caused the Kali Banten River to overflow into several areas in Serang City with a depth of 2 meters to 5 meters. The Serang City Government has set a flood emergency response status for the next five days per Tuesday (1/3).

Responding to this, the Chairperson of Commission VIII DPR RI Yandri Susanto together with the Director General of Social Protection and Security, Pepen Nazaruddin, visited 3 flood-affected locations in Serang City, namely in Kaujon District, Margasari District, and Dranggong District, while having dialogue with a number of residents, Tuesday (1/3 ).
