Jakarta (September 27, 2024) – Minister of Social Affairs Saifullah Yusuf often called Gus Ipul received representatives from Lansia Aktif Peduli Indonesia (Lantip Indonesia) on Friday (September 27, 2024). In this meeting, the Minister and Lantip Indonesia discussed collaborative efforts that could be established to create healthy, independent, and sharing elderly.

“The elderly must be healthy, both mentally and physically. In addition, the elderly also want to be independent and share,” said Minister Gus Ipul.

Chairman of the Advisory Board of Lantip Indonesia Taufiequrachman Ruky highlighted the increasing number of elderly in Indonesia, especially in Indonesia Emas 2045. To deal with this increase, guidance is needed for the elderly from an early age so that they can later continue to be active and independent. To achieve this, Lantip Indonesia is synergizing with various institutions, including the Ministry of Social Affairs (MoSA).

"Lantip wants to be a channel for those in need because seeing the happiness of the elderly is a happiness in itself for us," said Taufiq.

Ministry of Social Affairs (MoSA) has supported efforts to improve the welfare of the elderly through various programs including Social Rehabilitation Assistance (ATENSI), elderly food assistance, and cataract surgery. Through the ATENSI program, MoSA strives to help the Indonesian elderly who experience social dysfunction live properly and return to living in society.

These programs are in line with the Lantip Indonesia program. Therefore, MoSA is ready to synergize with Lantip Indonesia to create prosperous Indonesian elderly.
