That’s a History that Subang Residents Got Social Assistances

SUBANG (27 August 2020) - Ministry of Social Affairs will always at the forefront in responding the aspirations from community. Dharma Wanita Persatuan Advisor Grace Batubara is present among the residents to help those who have not been touched by assistance due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Grace Batubara symbolically handed over 2,000 packages of basic food social assistance to Subang residents in 2 locations, namely Sukamelang Village for 1,000 packages and Pagaden District for 1,000 packages.

Grace Batubara said that her presence was to ease the burden of Subang residents during the COVID-19 pandemic.

"We are here to provide basic food assistance to ladies and gentlemen who may not have received assistance before. Hopefully there will be other assistance that will also be present in Subang to help residents during this pandemic," said Grace Batubara.

Present at the Sukamelang Urban Village Office Hall, Subang District, Grace Batubara and their entourage were welcomed by the Head of the Subang Regency Social Service, Deden Hendriana, who expressed his gratitude on behalf of the Subang Regency regional government.

"Our happiness, Mrs. Grace and her entourage, are here to give an attention to Subang people. Thank you very much for your high attention to Subang Regency. This assistance will be distributed to pre-prosperous families in 12 districts", said Deden Hendriana.

Nata (49), a farm worker, was enthusiastic about accepting symbolically a large bag of basic food packages from the Ministry of Social Affairs.

"Alhamdulillah, I got quite a bit of help, because in the village now the job are so quiet, only 60 thousand a day, sometime I only herding the sheep. Thank you, Ministry of Social Affairs, for helping me", said Nata.

Emi's face was emotionally touched when Grace Batubara greeted her and talked to her. Emi is an elderly person who is still productively working at the age of 73.

"Sometimes her neighbors call her to work on the rice fields. If not, she just make cassava chips at home. My heart is touched to have someone give me this, thankyou very much," Emi added.

Moved to the second location, Grace Batubara and her entourage were received by the Regional Assistant I of Subang Regency Regional Secretariat, Asep Nuroni.

"Not all places can be visited in the midst of this pandemic, but Mrs. Grace is willing to spend the time to visit Subang, this is history for us. Hopefully many organizations in Subang are inspired by this and the potential of underprivileged residents in Subang can be helped. the plan will be distributed to residents affected by COVID-19 in 5 districts," said Asep Nuroni.

The presence of Grace Batubara and her entourage also brought a point of happiness for Kemi (63), a grandmother who only lives with her grandchild. Kemi could not hold back the tears when Grace Batubara and entourage visited his residence.

"My son was not sent me some money recently because of corona, and he is now unemployed. Thank you Ministry of Social Affairs for giving me this assistance ", said Kemi.

Present to accompany Mrs. Batubara were Director of Remote Indigenous Community Empowerment, the Head of BBPPKS Lembang, the Head of the OHH Secretariat of the Directorate General of Social Empowerment, as well as members of the Dharma Wanita Association of the Ministry of Social Affairs, Ms. Oom Komariah Suharto, Ms. Syifa Asep Sasa, Mrs. Betty Laode Taufik, Mrs. Eka Lara Hotman, Mrs. Elmi Amin Raharjo and Mrs. Putu Wirawan.
