CIANJUR (October 20, 2020) - The Director General of Social Protection and Security (Linjamsos) of the Ministry of Social Affairs, Pepen Nazaruddin, hopes that officials within the Ministry of Social Affairs become role models or pilot agents of change.
To achieve this, Linjamsos carried out Technical Guidance Activities for Change Agents in the framework of Bureaucratic Reform with the theme Through Strengthening Change Agents, Realizing Adaptive Superior Human Resources, for three days in Cianjur Regency, Tuesday (20/10).
He said the existence of agents of change in bureaucratic reform is not just a demand for organizational needs, but is a necessity for all parties. The same applies to agents of change at the Directorate General of Social Security and Protection.
"Being a role model in integrity and work performance, as well as transmitting a positive spirit to the mindset and work culture within Linjamsos by adhering to the 4 pillars of nationality (Pancasila, the 1945 Constitution, NKRI and Bhineka Tunggal Ika), as well as the principle of the values of the Ministry of Social Affairs (Humanistic, Adaptive, Dedicative, Inclusive, and Responsive)," he said.
He hopes that the agents of change presence can encourage the acceleration of bureaucratic reform which is essentially an effort to make fundamental reforms and changes to the government administration system, especially regarding aspects of the institution (organization), management (business process) and human resources of the apparatus.
Furthermore, Pepen said, the success of agents of change as the spearhead of a mental revolution is a manifestation of the success of bureaucratic reform based on PERMENPAN RB No. 27 of 2014 concerning Guidelines for the Development of Agents of Change.
"With superior and professional human resources, it is hoped that it will have a significant impact on the organizational governance of the Directorate General of Social Protection and Security. In this way, the vision of Indonesian President Joko Widodo to create a world-class government in 2025 will be achieved," he added.
For that, he invites his staff to get used to what is right and not to justify the usual.
"Agents of change at the Ministry of Social Affairs have important roles and tasks, including being a catalyst, namely being able to convince all employees in their respective work units about the importance of change," explained the bespectacled man.
He said that the agents of change also have the task of being activator of changer, "Their role is to encourage and boost other employees to participate in changes towards a better work unit," he explained.

Finally, according to him, agents of change are also required to be mediators. "To help expedite the change process, and to be a liaison, namely connecting two-way communication between employees in the work unit environment and decision makers," concluded Pepen.
