Semarang City (October 29, 2024) - Minister of Social Affairs Saifullah Yusuf (Gus Ipul) emphasized the importance of social pillars in realizing lifelong social protection. "We want all the strength that we have, one of them is social pillars, to be able to focus on programs according to the direction of the President," said the Minister in a dialogue between the Minister of Social Affairs and the social pillars of Central Java Province at the Merapi Building, Recreation Center and Development Promotion on Tuesday (10/29).

In this dialogue, Gus Ipul (the Minister) said that his visit with the Vice Minister of Social Affairs this time was a consolidation at the beginning of President Prabowo's administration so that the work of the Ministry of Social Affairs would be more measurable. "To realize this, I hope the city government and the social pillars can work with the same guidelines," he added.

Gus Ipul explained that the Ministry of Social Affairs' task was a part of lifelong social protection. "This is a comprehensive approach and guarantees the welfare of every individual from birth to death," he said.

Social protection covers various aspects such as social protection and security, social rehabilitation, and social empowerment to overcome vulnerability, poverty, and social risks.

"For that, we have the PKH program which is the anchor of the Ministry of Social Affairs," said Gus Ipul.

In the Family Hope Program (PKH), Gus Ipul also explained that there is a budget of IDR 28T each year. "So great assistants are needed, so that this program can be right on target," he explained.

Gus Ipul also emphasized the social pillars to know the Integrated Social Welfare Data (DTKS) and how to manage it. The social pillars have a role to correct and input data from those who are referred to as disadvantaged families with certain criteria. "DTKS is an indicator that our performance is measurable," he said.

Gus Ipul also explained that every program must target the DTKS. So the people outside of this data will not receive assistance from the Ministry of Social Affairs program.

On that occasion, Gus Ipul also invited the social pillars to be able to make objections through the social assistance check application so that it is right on target and explained what the criteria of the targets of the Ministry of Social Affairs program are in front of the social pillars of Central Java Province.
