JAKARTA (December 17th 2019) - Welcoming World Anti-Corruption Day which is commemorated every December 9th, today the Indonesian Ministry of Social Affairs is holding a Ministry of Social RI Anti-Corruption Workshop at the Aneka Bhakti Building initiated by the Inspectorate General. The activity this time had the theme "Together Against Corruption Creating a Developed Indonesia."

This workshop is a form of the Indonesian Ministry of Social Affairs commitment to create a bureaucracy that is clean and free from corruption. In addition, this workshop is also a means of providing understanding and forming competent, integrity and professional Civil Servants so that they can contribute to the eradication of corruption, especially in the Ministry of Social Affairs.

The activity which was opened by the Secretary General of the Ministry of Social RI, was attended by officials and staff in the head office and UPT Ministry of Social RI. In addition, representatives from the Subdistrict Social Welfare Workers (TKSK) in the Jabodetabek area, PKH Coordinator for the Jabodetabek area, Karang Taruna and Himbara also enlivened this event.

Epi Handayani from the Directorate of Education and Community Services of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) introduced the JAGA a smartphone application from the KPK which aims to encourage transparency in the delivery of public services. On this occasion, he also emphasized the nine values ​​of anti-corruption, namely honesty, caring, independence, discipline, responsibility, hard work, modesty, courage, and fairness. Other speakers, namely Ali Taher Parasong (Member of Commission VIII DPR RI) and M. Adi Toegarisman (Junior Attorney General for Special Crimes) also emphasized that morals are the main asset to fight and eradicate corruption.

When closing this activity, the Minister of Social Affairs, Juliari P. Batubara, said that the commemoration of World Anti-Corruption Day 2019 should be a momentum to increase morale and behavior to provide continuous examples in an effort to suppress and eliminate corruption everywhere.
