JAKARTA
(8 February 2021) - The Ministry of Social
Affairs, represented by the Inspectorate General, is collaborating with various
parties to oversee the accountability of the procurement and distribution of
social assistance. This time, the Ministry of Social Affairs visited the
National Police (POLRI) Headquarters to discuss on actual issues that must be
guarded by the two Parties and other related agencies.
The Inspector General, Dadang Iskandar, along with the Secretary of the
Inspectorate General, Arif Nahari were also present at the coordination meeting
with the Community Development Unit of the Indonesian National Police Security
Maintenance Agency (Binmas Baharkam POLRI). The meeting was chaired by the Coordinator
of Binmas Baharkam POLRI, Inspector General. Suwondo Nainggolan, was held at
the POLRI's Binmas Baharkam Meeting Room.
On this occasion, Dadang expressed various problems that occurred in the
field related to the distribution of social assistance. "The Ministry of
Social Affairs has many programs with large budgets, such as basic food cards
and BPNT/Non-Cash Food Assistance with different targets, namely the lowest 10
million KPM/Beneficiaries PKH cluster, 18.5 million KPM, 10 million KPM there
are intersections with BPNT. However, many problems occurred in the field. One
of the actual issues is the integration of the DTKS and the increased accuracy
of targeting the DTKS."
Suwondo said, "The Ministry of Social Affairs is requested to provide
information about the exact time of delivery so that POLRI can prepare and
confirm whether social assistance has been received by the community."
"We are always ready. This is a state affair. This is a public matter.
We are ready to help oversee the distribution of social assistance carried out
by the Ministry of Social Affairs,” added Suwondo.
